Last Day In 2011

Tiada apa yang ku harapkan, semoga tidak hanyut dengan warna-warna dunia. Berbekalkan hati yang mati untuk azam tahun baru yang menjelang esok hari.

Manipulasi

Banyak kawan-kawan yang bertanyakan bagaimana Kimy blend materials dalam artwork sehingga nampak realistik dan benar-benar wujud. So untuk entry kali ini Kimy ingin menjawab soalan tersebut. Anggap saja ini hanya perkongsian ilmu, nanti ada pula yang tidak berpuas hati. Sebenarnya dalam mendapatkan blending yang masuk dan kena mengena dengan suasana, Research haruslah dilakukan. Perancangan adalah penting dalam setiap artwork yang diatur.

Antara beberapa tips:

Lakaran idea

Setiap artwork yang Kimy lalukan mesti ada lakaran idea. Jadi di waktu dapatnya idea, segeralah mencatat apa yang perlu. Setelah idea bermain di fikiran, pelan haruslah dilakukan untuk memudahkan kerja seterusnya, dan workflow menjadi lebih terurus.

Kaji latar gambar

Perkara yang kimy akan lakukan secara kebiasaan ialah mencari background terlebih dahulu. Setelah background yang diinginkan ada bersama maka haruslah menjalankan kajian. Biasanya yang selalu difikirkan ialah apakah konsep, support element dan nilai tambah.

Kaji cahaya pada latar

Cahaya adalah penting dalam menjamin kualiti dan membantu dalam penceritaan dalam sesebuah artwork. Gunakan pensel dan lain-lain sketch anak panah arah cahaya dan arah bayang-bayang untuk subjek.

Kenali sifat subjek

Walau apa pun artwork pasti ada subjek, betul tak? Jadi jika anda ada talent, kaji dahulu sifat talent sebelum suruh dia post itu-ini. Untuk mendapatkan feel yang terbaik anda perlu kenal talent supaya subjek tidak nampak kekok dan berlakon.

Faham sifat fizik

Yang ini amatlah penting selain cahaya yang dinyatakan tadi. So kita perlu gunakan logik akal dalam menentukan sesuatu boleh diterima pakai atau tidak.

Perfect lighting

Rasanya yang ini tidak semua mampu, so at least kita perlu ada beberapa lighting equipment. Bisanya kimy akan gunakan 2 speedlite (Canon) dibantu oleh payung dan beauty dish. Sangat simple sebab ambient light masih diperlukan.

Editing software

Kalau pandai guna sesuatu software semua menjadi mudah, apa yang ingin disampaikan dapat disampaikan. Jika ada idea yang sangat bagus tetapi tidak pandai dalam kerja suntingan pun tiada guna juga, kerana idea tersebut pasti tertanam, dan jika dapat pasti kurang impak.

Review

Biasanya artwork untuk exhibition kimy akan mengambil masa yang agak lama untuk review. Biasanya review dalam 1 minggu untuk mengelakkan sebarang perkara yang terlepas pandang.

Kesimpulannya: manipulasi bukan kerja yang mudah, ketelitian amat penting dalam menjamin kualiti.

Exhibition Lagi

Pada tahun 2011 ini saya telah terlibat dalam exhibition, 2 telah berjaya dilakukan. Terdapat lagi 2 exhibition yang saya turut terlibat sama pada masa terdekat, antaranya ialah Penang B&W dan Gen Youth Photohunter – “Tribute To P.Ramlee”. jadi buat masa sekarang, kerja menyiapkan artwork sedang giat dijalankan untuk exhibition tersebut. Seperti kebiasaan artwork baru haruslah ada untuk memikat audience datang ke aktiviti tersebut. Berikut adalah potongan majalah By-U, yang membuat liputan sepantang exhibition berlangsung iaitu Youth Photohunter – “Interpretasi”.

Penang B&W

Penang B&W adalah singkatan perkataan Penang Black and White. Sebenarnya saya adalah ahli baru yang menyertai komuniti ini. Komuniti ini banyak menekankan foto hitam-putih dan ramai di antara ahli menggunakan kamera analog. Walau bagaimanapun saya tetap dengan style saya sambil menimba ilmu dengan komuniti ini walaupun menggunakan digital sepenuhnya.

Awin with critical moment at hill side. The reason why she being there is to request something to unknown creature. Not all the thing human eye can see.

Expresssion

The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. Every Where Remain The Same Thing

You will notice what is the same thing is. This picture has done post production since last week. Thank to talent for joined me in this season.

Fake [PROTOTYPE]

Picture above show how my manipulation was done. It took about 7 hour to finish manipulation and 3 hour for photoshoot. Actually I had no idea what should I post for my next entry, so here it is. This is [PROTOTYPE] developed by Activision company and have many console that game can be play. Yes, I play this game by using PC. The graphic is so nice and it can play in free roaming without border in game world. OK, continue the story about manipulation-> I make this activity in hostel so of cause my housemate always disturbing me till finish. I make it twice, once I get disturbed till stress and not save the work, the second seen like make it again “YES make it again”.

Ok let’s talk about the process flow:

This is photoshoot activity during night. Finish in around 3.00 am. The meaning of numbers notation in picture above is:

1. Mat as a model
   
2. White background covered my wall and window.
   
3. Umbrella attached with flash
   
4. The messy items on table top.

Yes after 3 hour, this is what we done. Actually the angle of view need to strait pointing at background. This is the best picture amount other even though lack of background.

This picture had shown an idea to me to make manipulation for the picture. 2 pictures, the PC DVD jewel case and [PROTOTYPE] wallpaper downloaded from internet.

Special to Kimo

Yesterday (Friday), after back from work, actually that was my last day for industrial training (practical). When I relaxed at home want to sleep, I can’t sleep. Work up and turn on the PC and of coz the word that I was comment to Kimo. I’m write that I want to edit his picture, so open the photoshop to edit it. Here it is the picture; the caption is Terminator – assassin of Kimo. Duration to finish this picture is 4 hour.

My life on this earth enough 20 years old. Holiday from work and don't know what do. Today I fill my day with some editing of my picture. Special thanks to Ganes shooting my picture.
